I firmly believe that we can help the environment by sharpening our construction methods and skills, choosing alternative materials, cutting waste and re-cycling the waste we can't avoid creating, and building "green." The first 12 chapters emphasized alternative materials and the new skills you need to use them. In this chapter, I'll cover the rest of the equation: reducing waste and recycling, and building green.
