carpenter for new construction. On the double-wide units, consider using
a helper. The Therma-Tru units come with optional brick molding.
Hardware:
Deadbolt: 0.800 manhours per unit
Handlesets: 1.00 manhour per unit
Oak threshold with vinyl weather seal (5/8"
or 3/4" x 37"): 0.381 manhours per unit
Hinges (31/2" x 31/2"):
0.18 manhours per hinge, which includes both door and jamb
Weatherstripping: 1.53 manhours per 3'0" door
Finish:
Staining: 0.006 manhours per square foot per coat
Finish: 0.007 manhours per square foot per coat
Light sanding: 0.011 manhours per square foot per 3'0" door
Painting (handwork): 0.020 manhours per square foot for three coats
for both door and frame
Sidelights:
Door:
Installation: 1.32 manhours up to 3'0" to fit; this doesn't include
frame, trim, or finish
Frame: 0.850 manhours per unit up to 3'0" x 6'8" and up to jamb width
of a 2 x 6 framing member
Trim: 0.250 manhours per side, unfinished up to a 3'0" door
Prehung steel, solid core, or molded door: 0.750 manhours up to 3'6"
Prehung: 1.00 manhour for 5'0" to 6'0" double-wide units
